Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit Insurance rules.

A Welcome From Our President CSB State Bank, in Posey County Indiana, wants to thank you for visiting our website. Our goal is to put information about our services right at your fingertips. Learn more about our products and services – Checking, Savings, Home Loans, Business Banking, Commercial Loans, and conduct your on line banking transactions where and when it is convenient. Recently, much has been written in the press about the condition of the banking industry.  Some of the large money center and regional banks have certain assets on their books which have lost some or all of their value.  These assets include Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac preferred stock, subprime loans, and a host of different types of mortgage backed securities (MBS) whose values have shrunk due to significant declines in the value of real estate.  I'm proud to inform you that CSB State Bank does not hold any of these types of assets on its books today.  Further, CSB has a capital to total asset ratio of over 10%, which is about double the FDIC required minimum.                                                    Finally, you can go to an FDIC website https://cdr.ffiec.gov/public/ManageFacsimiles.aspx to see that CSB State Bank has had very low credit losses in the past few years and that our delinquencies and problem loans at the end of the most recent quarter were both very small.  CSB continues to invest most of its deposits, the vast majority of which are fully covered by up to $250,000 in FDIC insurance, in loans to local individuals, businesses, and farmers.
